Share

You team up with your friends in PUBG and the audio suddenly dies halfway through an intense squad battle. You keep your ears straining to hear something – anything, but the enemy footsteps never make a sound.

Yes, it makes us want to chuck our phone across the room – we know. So why is there no sound in PUBG mobile at times? And what’s the solution? This blog will give you 5 simple and practically effective solutions to turn your audio back on in the game in just a few seconds. Keep reading.

Why Is There No Sound In PUBG Mobile

Other than your phone being in the silent mode, there could be various reasons why your in-game audio suddenly disappears without any apparent reason. Here are 4 quick fixes that we usually apply to get it back whenever we face such an issue in PUBG Mobile:

1.    Your Phone/PC Audio Could Be Connected To A Bluetooth Device

You turn the game on but there’s no sound in your earphones or headset. Quickly check your connected devices with your phone’s Bluetooth cause the audio gets transferred to those Bluetooth devices instead. Turn off your Bluetooth or disconnect those devices and turn the game on again.

2.    Your In-Game Audio Pack Isn’t Downloaded Yet

Another very common reason for not getting a sound in your PUBG mobile matches is that you might not have downloaded the complete “Basic Audio Pack”. The game allows you to download an audio pack, which includes certain in-game audios like vehicle sounds, approaching footsteps audio etc. Go to the “Downloads” from your homepage to download the complete audio resources (refer to the screenshot below).

3.    Your In-Game Sound Settings Are Muted

It so happens as well that we turn the in-game sound effects and music off and then forget to turn it back up when we start a match. Instead of fussing around and panicking, quickly take cover somewhere and open your audio settings to check if the audio settings and sound are set to normal volumes again.

4.    Technical and Network Issues

One of the most common audio glitches in PUBG Mobile is the mic glitch. You insert a headset or earphones while the game is running and the audio goes poof instead of getting rerouted through the headset. The same problem occurs when your earphones or audio devices get disconnected accidentally during the game and then you connect it again.

The only solution in this case is to connect your audio device properly first and then exit & restart the game. The audio will come back on right away in most cases.

P.S. Make sure you are ducked behind cover to avoid getting killed whenever your exit and restart your game. You can ask your teammates to cover you while you go through the restart process.
